About Kayo Malik

Kayo Malik is a state and nationally board-certified Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner. She holds the title Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). This title certifies that she has completed over 3,500 hours of training in all the principal aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture and the use of Chinese herbs and formulas.

Kayo graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture and completed clinical internships with master practitioners from China, Korea and the USA. She has also spent time in Japan and China exploring the roots of Oriental Medicine.

As an herbalist, Kayo has over 35 years of experience. Prior to studying Oriental Medicine, she had a practice as a community herbalist. She draws inspiration from her grandmother, who was a village herbalist in Japan.
